SARJAK forays into ODC shipments by air

SARJAK is proud to announce its latest foray into the new realm of ODC Shipments by Air.

In a recently concluded movement, SARJAK took on the challenge of shipping over dimensioned machinery for a new sugar factory to be built in Maharashtra, India.

The entire consignment consisted of 17 crates, 8 of which were grossly over dimensioned and weighed in excess of 11 Tonnes each, with an aggregate in excess of 95 Tonnes. The largest of the crates consisted of dims of 3.13 x 2.04 x 2.28 M with a unit weight of 12 Tonnes.

This further activity consolidates SARJAK’s position as a specialist in Over Dimensioned Cargo, both by sea and now by air. In a recent development, SARJAK has also offered its customers, safe transportation of ODC packages by road, all over India. This now truly establishes SARJAK’s position as a Multimodal transport Operator in the safe carriage of over dimensioned cargoes.

SARJAK, very recently was recognised and awarded by D & B – Axis Bank as the “Best Medium Enterprise in the Logistics Sector”. This recognition was preceded by the MALA 2012 Award, as the “Best NVOCC of the year (Special Equipment).

SARJAK established itself as a service provider in the niche segment of carriage of over-dimensional cargo in 2003. The company’s ever-expanding fleet of self-owned, special equipment has now expanded into a global footprint and is today spread across more than 95 port cities of the world.

SARJAK’s management is on course to fulfil the company’s vision: "To be a leader with a Global Presence in ODC & Project Shipments Segment"; now not only by sea but also by air and by land.

SARJAK was ably supported for this shipment by their WCA Partner, ROTRA of the Netherlands, who were appointed as the handling agent in Europe.
