Executive – Legal

Purpose of the role
To provide comprehensive legal support and guidance to the organization, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks
• Assistance in drafting and vetting the agreements like- CFS agreements, Container trading /leasing agreements, Agency agreements or charter parties, slot agreements, Transport Agreements, Depot agreements, Credit agreements etc.
• Helping with legal operational and documentation team by providing documents like Letter of Indemnities, Shipping Certificate, Damage certificate, Vessel Certificate
• Drafting and vetting of legal notices and replies,
• Handling of Claims including cargo damage/ loss claims, delay claims etc
• Handling/Liaising with Lawyers & Third Parties for realization of money, for all group entities.
• Assisting procuring the Insurance Policies as per Business requirements
• Handling Insurance Renewals of all group entities
• Preparing and issuing Notices, including in cheque bouncing matters and outstanding matters recovery.
• Drafting and vetting of pleadings and court documents.
• Appointing and liaising with Advocates within India and abroad and provide all sorts of assistance to the Lawyers in handling the legal matters effectively
• Trademark – Group Company – following up on hearings, inquiries, filing applications & arranging documentation for the same.
• Drafting of various Terms & Conditions, Documentation for the group companies i.e Bills of Lading, Quotation, Release orders etc
• Reviewing contracts and BL terms on regular basis:
• Handling Sanction and embargo checking via Software for all shipments as required.
• Processing the Sanction check, SOC and other legal documents and claims related matter.

Educational Qualifications and experience
Minimum: Bachelor of Law from reputed University or college
Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years of working experience in a law firm working for shipping, logistics corporation.
