Manager/Sr. Manager – Business Development

Purpose of the role
The Regional Head of Shipper Sales will be responsible for driving sales and growth for Sarjak Container Lines within the Indian market. This role will involve leveraging data-driven insights, engaging with top customers in India, and developing key trade lanes to Latin America from India.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks
• Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential customers and target segments within the Indian market.
• Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with top Indian exporters, understanding their specific needs and challenges.
• Sales Strategy: Execute the comprehensive sales strategy to penetrate the market and achieve revenue targets.
• Service Portfolio: Promote Sarjak Container Lines’ full range of services, including GP, RORO, Projects, and Breakbulk.
• Data-Driven Sales: Utilize data analytics to identify sales opportunities, track performance, and optimize sales strategies.
• Business Development: Develop and maintain relationships with key industry players to identify new business opportunities.
• Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and pricing terms with customers to ensure profitability.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Revenue Generation: Achievement of sales targets and revenue growth.
• Customer Acquisition: Acquisition of new customers within the target market.
• Customer Retention: Maintenance of existing customer relationships and retention rates.
• Market Penetration: Expansion of market share within the Indian market.
• Team Performance: Management and development of a high-performing sales team.
• Data Analysis: Effective use of data to drive sales strategies and decision-making.

Educational Qualifications and experience
Education: A Bachelor’s or Post Graduate degree in the relevant field, such as Maritime Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management, is preferred.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in the Freight Forwarding industry.
Additional requirements: Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and CRM systems.
Working knowledge proficiency in Spanish language.
