D&B-Axis Bank Business Gaurav Award 2012 — Second honour this year

SARJAK Container Lines P Ltd has once again proven that there is no substitute to TEAM WORK and the WE CARE attitude which has reaped it rich dividends.

After winning the NVOCC of the Year (Special Equipment) award at the 3rd All India MALA 2012 in September, SARJAK has now been conferred with the prestigious D&B-Axis Bank Business Gaurav Award 2012 for being the Best Medium Enterprise in the Logistics Sector.

Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) is the world’s leading provider of business information, knowledge and insight, and Axis Bank the third largest private sector bank in India. Together, they deemed it fit to award SARJAK Container Lines, which is headquartered in Mumbai, India.

SARJAK established itself as a service provider in the niche segment of carriage of over-dimensional cargo in 2003. The company’s ever-expanding fleet of self-owned, special equipment has a global footprint and is today spread across more than 95 port cities of the world.

Over the years, SARJAK has established itself as an Indian multinational, with Country Managers, Representatives and key staff taking care of its business in the far corners of the world, earning valuable foreign exchange for India.

Under the stewardship of Mr Ashish Sheth, Chairman and Managing Director, SARJAK is going from strength to strength and is building a very strong network of “world renowned” agents across the globe in order to propel the company as the premier shipping solutions provider for project related cargoes worldwide.

Thanking the organisers of the event, Mr Sheth said he was humbled by this recognition of SARJAK’s hard work and perseverance to excel. He added that

“In the recent past and in the coming months, SARJAK has and will further expand its service in the Baltic, Black Sea and the Mediterranean region. Our recent launch into the Egyptian and Turkish markets has already borne fruit and SARJAK is further expanding its service on the North African Coast to serve Libya, Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria. Once again, we are being represented there by top notch agency houses.”

Mr Sheth stressed that he felt deep pride in saying that SARJAK’s management was on course to fulfil the company’s vision: “To be a leader with a Global Presence in ODC & Project Shipments Segment”.

He also acknowledged the supreme effort, dedication and focused goal-setting of his management team comprising Capt. Rumi Engineer, Senior President; Mr Soumen Majumdar, President; Mr Supal Shah, President; and Mr Kalpesh Jagani, President. Under their leadership, SARJAK will continue to forge ever ahead in achieving its VISION, Mr Sheth emphasised.
